What Is a Pink Slip?

A pink slip, officially called an eSafety check, is a safety inspection required for vehicles five years and older in NSW. You need one to renew your registration. It's a check to confirm your car meets minimum safety standards for the road.

Light vehicles (cars, SUVs, utes under 4.5 tonnes GVM) that are five years or older need an eSafety check every 12 months at rego renewal time.
